T: The New York Times Style Magazine

Commission for a Series of Digital Devices

For this project, I was asked to create a series of digital devices to be used in an article on the importance of paper to Japanese culture. Here is a gallery of the draft designs and final pieces for the cover art for The New York Times. This was a rush job which needed to be completed in less than three days, with a courier coming directly to my home on a Saturday night to pick things up - a first! I never design objects; I almost exclusively design animals and other pieces from nature. So this was a super fun challenge and I actually enjoy working under a tight deadline - it really focuses your efforts!
