Paper Tigers

Commission to be filmed for a Facebook Watch series called Paper Tigers

I was invited by Kin Community to be featured in a series on paper artists called Paper Tigers, developed for Facebook Watch. At the time, Facebook Watch was new and they were working to create some original content to kickstart this new feature. The series included an awesome collection of paper artists, and I was so honored to be invited to be a part of the series. The team was so professional and created such a beautiful product. I was the first artist the crew filmed, and they flew me out to Los Angeles to film in their studio there. After this, they decided to film in each artist’s studios, so I had a bit of a unique experience filming on site in LA. It was shot in one day, and was such a fun experience. I gained a lot of insight and appreciation for the hard work that goes into getting all the details just right, I was so impressed by their attention detail and perfectionism. And it is my only “viral” web experience - I was shocked when it quickly racked up over 3 million views!

Here are a few “behind the scene” shots of the film in LA. Thank you Kin Community and Paper Tigers! The original video can be found on the Paper Tigers FB page, along with additional videos in the paper artist series.

Recreating my work area at home, they asked me to bring pieces from my desk - note the Great Lakes rocks!
