Commission to Design and Wetfold a Model with Dove Lotion

For this project, I was asked to design a few original models that could then be wetfolded with Dove Lotion. I designed a few different models, starting with a complex design of a horse (which we quickly nixed due to the challenge of quickly folding that for a commercial) and finally choosing a simple rose. One stipulation was the model be folded from a sheet of rice paper, which was round and thus helped dictate the type of design I would create. A flower was an obvious choice. I learned that lotion is actually a pretty interesting choice for wet folding paper. It doesn’t dry out nearly as quickly as water and allows you to work with the paper wet for much longer (!).
